Man Stopped For Talking on Cell Phone Had Warrant: Cops
An I-phone 6 and several credit cards were stolen from a locker room at a Skokie Valley Road business.

FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE
Kennyatta Church, 31, Chicago was arrested on a failure to appear warrant for burglary from South Bend, Indiana after police responded to a verbal dispute in the 2700 block of St. Johns Avenue at 5:16 p.m. on April 21.

NO VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE
Les Conley, 29, Chicago was arrested and charged with no valid drivers license, failure to wear seat belt and speeding after being stopped by police in the 1900 block of Skokie Valley Road at 11:09 p.m. on April 23.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED
Russell Fell, 57, Round Lake Beach was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended and improper lane usage after being stopped by police in the 400 block of the Edens Expressway at 1:56 a.m. on April 24.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT
Dorothea Benjamin, 76, of the 2600 block of Greenwood Avenue was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after police responded to a dispute between neighbors that escalated to verbal threats.
NO VALID DRIVERS LICENSE
Justin Bredwood, 21, Lakemoor was arrested and charged with no valid drivers license and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after police responded to a two car accident in the 2500 block of Skokie Valley Road at 3:40 p.m. on April 25.
WARRANT
Alejandro Mireles-Aguirre, 33, Libertyville was stopped by police at 7:48 p.m. on April 25 and issued a citation for use of a cell phone while driving. Mireles-Aguirre was found have an outstanding failure to appear warrant for identity theft from Lake County.
DOMESTIC BATTERY
Oscar Nieto-DeLaTorre, 26, of the 2700 block of St. Johns Avenue was arrested and charged with domestic battery and interference with the reporting of domestic battery after police responded to a report of a verbal dispute that had turned physical at the residence in the 2700 block of St. Johns Avenue at 7:14 p.m. on April 26.
THEFT
Sometime between 10:30-11:30 a.m. on April 19, cash was taken out of an unattended purse while attending a class at a business in the 700 block of Central Avenue.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO VEHICLE
A derogatory word was scratched into an office door at a business in the 1700 block of First Street sometime overnight between 5:30 p.m. on April 22, the reported date.
THEFT
An I-phone 6 and several credit cards were taken from a locked locker at a business in the 100 block of Skokie Valley Road around 10:17 a.m. on April 23.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO VEHICLE
A vehicle parked in a driveway in the 500 block of Broadview Avenue was keyed sometime overnight between 6:30 p.m. on April 25 to 11:44 a.m. on April 26. The damage was located on three sides of the vehicle.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
A fence in the 200 block of Walker Avenue was damaged within the last two days.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
Graffiti sprayed in black spray paint in the form of words and a smiley face was located on a stop sign, no outlet sign, tow signs and resident parking signs in the parking lot of a building in the 2000 block of St. Johns Avenue at 8:21 p.m. on April 26.
