Man Wanted For Fleeing Police On New Year's Arrested: Blotter
Lake Forest man charged with DUI after one-car crash; car burglarized inside garage: Highland Park Police Blotter

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following information comes from the Highland Park and Highwood police departments and public records as a record of incidents reported to the police and of those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law beyond a reasonable doubt.

CAR BURGLARIES
- A resident in the 1400 block of Sheridan Road reported around 9 a.m. on Jan. 17 that someone had burglarized their car during the previous night, stealing a laptop, backpack and coat from inside.
- A resident in the 1400 block of Waverly Road reported someone burglarized two of their cars — one in the driveway and one in the garage — during the overnight hours of Jan. 16, stealing a purse and a garage door opener.
ARRESTS/CITATIONS
Leo Lafranco, 45, of the 200 block of North Mellody Lane, Lake Forest, was arrested around 7 p.m. on Jan. 13 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following an investigation into a one-car crash with no injuries at the intersection of Lake Cook Road and Red Oak Lane. He was also issued citations for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash.

Adriana Rosales, 30, of the 2600 block of West Nelson Street, Chicago, was arrested around 5:30 a.m. on Jan. 15 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. She was also issued a citation for stopping, standing or parking in prohibited places after officers were dispatched to a report of a car stopped in traffic at the intersection of Skokie Valley Road and Park Avenue.
Ethan Johnson, 21, of the 200 block of Par Five Drive, DeKalb, was arrested around 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 16 on a warrant issued by Highland Park police on two counts of aggravated fleeing of a police officer on Jan. 1.
