HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following information comes from the Highland Park and Highwood police departments and public records as a record of incidents reported to the police and of those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law beyond a reasonable doubt.

ARRESTS

Luis Robles, 44, of the 2400 block of Green Bay Road, Highland Park, was arrested around 11 p.m. on July 15 and charged with harassment by telephone after officers got a complaint about how he behaved on the phone.

Fernando Martinez, 29, of the 100 block of High Street, Highwood, was arrested around 2:15 a.m. on July 18 on a warrant after officers pulled over a vehicle for unspecified reasons in the 800 block of Half Day Road. The driver was not ticketed, but a passenger, Martinez, was found to have a warrant. Police did not specify who issued the warrant or with what case it was connected.

Jose Solorzano-Bonilla, 55, of the 2900 block of Monitor Avenue, Chicago, was arrested around 3:45 a.m. on July 20 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and cited for improper turn and failure to signal following a traffic stop at the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Ridgewood Avenue.

Haroon Shuaib, 24, of the 6300 block of North Richmond Street, Chicago, was arrested around 10:30 p.m. on July 20 on a warrant from an unspecified jurisdiction after he left a disabled vehicle in a construction zone in the area of Skokie Valley Road and Chantilly Boulevard and was approached by officers.

Latonya Hilson, 26, of the 38000 block of North Sheridan Road, Waukegan, was arrested around 3 a.m. on July 21 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and cited for illegal transportation of alcohol, operating an uninsured vehicle, failure to signal and disobeying a traffic control device following a traffic stop at the intersection of Route 41 and Old Elm Road. She pleaded guilty in March to obstructing justice in a separate Highland Park case in exchange for a year of probation.

A 45-year-old Lake Bluff man was arrested at 4:45 p.m. on July 21 in the 300 block of Waukegan Avenue and charged with driving without a valid license following a minor traffic crash. He was also issued a citation for no insurance.

Jose Barraza-Gonzalez, 31, of the 500 block of S. Martin Luther King Drive, Waukegan, was arrested around 12:15 a.m. on July 22 and charged with driving under the influence, DUI with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08 or more and driving with a suspended license. He was also issued citations for no valid registration, operating an uninsured vehicle and improper lane usage following a traffic stop in the 3300 block of Skokie Valley Road.
