Motorist Parked On Grass Charged With DUI, Resisting: Blotter
Incidents and arrests from the Highland Park and Highwood police blotters from Aug. 14 to Aug. 20

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following information comes from the Highland Park Police Department and court records as a record of incidents reported to the police and of those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law beyond a reasonable doubt.
INCIDENTS
CAR BURGLARY
Someone got into a car in the 100 block of Lakeside Place prior to 2:20 a.m. on Aug. 18, but nothing was reported stolen.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE
The owner of a business in the 2000 block of Waukegan Avenue reported at 9:43 a.m. on Aug. 18 that someone had damaged a side window of a vehicle parked at the business.
VANDALISM
A resident in the 400 block of Broadview Avenue reported on the morning of Aug. 18 that someone defaced their car by splattering white paint on it.

ARRESTS
Anna Block, 25, of the 200 block of Scott Street in Lake Forest, was arrested at 1:51 a.m. on Aug. 15 and charged with driving under the influence and resisting arrest after police responded to a call about a car parked in the grass near Sheridan Road and Cedar Avenue.
Nancy McCarty, 55, of the 800 block of East Hawley Street in Mundelein, was arrested at 12 a.m. on Aug. 18 following a traffic stop near the intersection of St. John’s Avenue and Lambert Tree Avenue and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and DUI with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08 or above.
Stephen Wetzel, 55, of the 40 block of East Sandpiper Lane in Lake Forest, was arrested at 1:44 a.m. on Aug. 18 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after police responded to a one-car traffic crash at the intersection of Bloom Street and Waukegan Avenue. He was also ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
Monica Huminiecki, 38, of the 8000 block of North Odell Lane in Niles, was arrested around 4 p.m. on Aug. 18 and charged with retail theft of about $500 worth of merchandise when police responded to a call from staff at the Jewel-Osco 1600 Deerfield Road a theft in progress.
Felicia Gillman, 55, of the 500 block of Clavey Lane in Highland Park, was arrested at 7:11 p.m. on Aug. 19 and charged with domestic battery, criminal damage and resisting arrest after police were called to her home.
HIGHWOOD
Raul Lopez, of the 0-100 block of Michigan Avenue in Highwood, was arrested at his home and charged with aggravated battery in connection with an incident around 2 p.m. Aug. 10 when he reportedly chocked and struck a woman, causing a cut that required stitches to close.
Jeffrey W. March, 52, of the 200 block of Prairie Avenue in Highwood, was arrested at 3:50 p.m. on Aug. 15 on an active arrest warrant issued by the Northbrook Police Department.
A 33-year-old Skokie man and a 27-year-old Highwood woman were arrested and around 12:45 p.m. on Aug. 16 in the 0-100 block of Walker Avenue and charged with trespassing and possession of alcohol on the property of the Highwood Water Treatment Plant
