Neighbors Association Wants 'Fair Hearing' for Ravinia School
Plan to cut Ravinia Elementary School won't go down without a fight from the Ravinia Neighbors Association.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL - Now that the North Shore School District 112 referendum has been defeated, plans are in place to enact a “Plan B” that would call for the closing of several district schools.
Among them is Ravinia Elementary School, which had the referendum passed would not have been among the list of schools cut.
But the Ravinia Neighbors Association is committed to ensuring “a fair hearing” is held before their neighborhood school is officially chopped.

“We trust Ravinia will remain engaged,” the group wrote in a statement this week. “Having rejected the use of Ravinia School as a tool to encourage passage of the referendum, our RNA board remains committed to advocating for the fair hearing of Ravinia School as part of a new process.”
“We believe the solution that will best serve Ravinia and its children will be the one that reflects the input of the broader Ravinia community.”
