Featured obituary:

Arienne R. LeSueur passed away April 15, 2018 at the age of 89 after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. She had a profound and positive effect on those who knew her, who said they will all miss her more than words can express. Addie, as she was known to friends and family, was originally from New Rochelle, NY. She relocated to Evanston with her mother and 4 siblings. During her attendance at Northwestern University, she met and married Marshall E. LeSueur in 1951. They had 5 children in rapid succession: four boys, and one girl. It is not an overstatement to say that she held five full time and concurrent jobs.

Addie was always active in Deerfield, serving on the Board of Park Commissioners, The League of Women Voters, and on the vestry at St. Gregory’s church. She was a friend to many, counselor to several, and the rallying point for a large, willful, and close family. She was especially close to her older sister Joan McClure, who passed away last year.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Marshall E. LeSueur; sons Max, Dave (Dody), Steve (Karen), Chris and daughter Meg; ten grandchildren, Jake, Nia, Henry(Kat), Calvin, Eric, Ian(Kristin), Christopher, Grace, Frankie and Stephen; and a multitude of nephews, nieces and their children, all of whom she loved and welcomed into her life.

A memorial service will be held at St. Gregory’s Episcopal Church, Wilmot and Deerfield roads, Deerfield Illinois, on May 5th, 2018 at 11 am CST. Reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Orphans of the Storm, Deerfield IL, Chicago Botanic Gardens, or St. Gregory’s Episcopal Church, Deerfield, IL. For info or directions please contact Kelley & Spalding Funeral Home at 847-831-4260.
