Featured Obituary:
Patricia “Trish” A. (Jaffe) Cerro nee Walusiak was born in Evanston, IL on March 11, 1951. Beloved wife of Stephen J. Cerro, she had a longtime career as a hair designer and equestrian enthusiast. She passed away from colon cancer after a valiant 7-year fight against the disease. She was a young 66 years of age.
Trish was an avid gardener and once even won the Evanston Garden Walk contest. She loved children and animals, especially dogs (Sampson, Hercules, Star & Bear) and horses (Ellure), but most of all she loved her husband, Stephen, who cared for her throughout, unconditionally.

Trish attended Regina Dominican High School graduating in 1969. She played a little bit of violin, loved art and was into biking, golf and skiing. In addition to her Associate Degree in Animal Science, she later acquired her Cosmetology License – a profession that she thoroughly enjoyed which allowed her the flexibility to have a home and travel extensively in Europe, and to Costa Rica and Jamaica.
She was fully engaged in living and gaining new experiences, and trying new things. She had many close friends and we all knew her as an empathetic, generous, caring, loving, reasonable, funny, honest and wonderful person.
Trish was the devoted wife of Stephen J. Cerro; beloved daughter to Rosemary and the late William Walusiak; dear sister to Wayne (Susie) Walusiak, Ken (Debbie) Walusiak, Wendy (Don) Wils, Stephanie (Dave) Kuhlow, Merry Clarke and Karla Hypes; caring aunt to Ben Walusiak, Caryn (Hasim) Zakko and Jennifer Walusiak, Lauren Wils, Eric Walusiak, Autumn Kuhlow, and Taylor and Dillon Hypes.
