Andrew P. Romanchek, 82, of Vernon Hills, IL died December 19, 2014. He was an avid golfer, retired from Motorola after more than forty years as an electrical engineer, served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War and was a member of the Franklin D. Roosevelt Post No. 923 in Chicago. Devoted husband of Lenore (nee Gordan) for 57 years; loving father of Cynthia (Russell) Gallagher, Robert (Susan) Romanchek, Nancy (Ashraf) Romanchek and Jayne (Scott) Haiber; cherished grandfather of 13; dear brother of Edward (Virginia) and the late Richard; son of the late Helen & Edward Romanchek. Visitation 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 22 at Wenban Funeral Home, 320 Vine Avenue., Lake Forest, IL followed by a service at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
