Package Piracy; Park, Bike Path Graffiti: Highland Park Blotter

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following information comes from the Highland Park Police Department as a record of incidents reported to the police and of those arrested by police. Readers are reminded than an arrest is not an indication of guilt, and criminal charges, which are often dropped or reduced, represent merely accusations by the state. All persons named are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

INCIDENTS

THEFT
Someone stole a package from the front porch of a home in the 1500 block of Robin Hood Place prior to the afternoon of June 29.

• A resident found graffiti on signs at a park in the 2700 block of Trail Way on the morning of June 29.
• Someone defaced the entrance to the bike path at Waukegan Avenue and Orchard Lane with graffiti some time prior to the morning of June 29.

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

A 31-year-old Winthrop Harbor man was arrested at 3:12 a.m. on June 26 and charged with driving with a revoked license after he was pulled over for speeding in the 1300 block of Half Day Road. He was also cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
