Paul Frank Resigns From Highland Park City Council; Voters Will Select Successor in April
The former Highland Park City Councilman will soon be sworn in as a Lake County commissioner.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL - Voters in Highland Park will select the City Council successor to Paul Frank, who resigned this week in order to be sworn in as a Lake County commissioner.
Had Frank’s resignation come after Nov. 25, his seat on the Highland Park City Council would have been filled by Mayor Nancy Rotering, according to a Highland Park News report. Now, the spot will be decided in the April 2017 election that will include races for three other seats on the Council as well.
Whoever is voted to replace Frank will be given a two-year term that will expire in April of 2019. The seats currently held by Dan Kaufman, Alyssa Knobel and Kim Stone will also be up for election in April, with the winner of those races each being given four-year terms.
