HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following information comes from the Highland Park and Highwood police departments and public records as a record of incidents reported to the police and of those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law beyond a reasonable doubt.

INCIDENTS

CAR BURGLARY
Someone stole a power tool from a vehicle in the 1200 block of Central Avenue prior to noon on Nov. 4.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE
A resident in the 300 block of Temple Avenue reported around 12:30 a.m. on Nov. 8 that someone had broken the front driver's side window of a locked car. Nothing was reported stolen.

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

A 29-year-old Lake Bluff woman was arrested around 9:30 p.m. Nov. 7 and charged with driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop at the intersection of Ridge Road and Reserve Court. She was also ticketed for speeding.

A 20-year-old Zion man was arrested shortly after midnight on Nov. 9 and charged with speeding in a construction zone following a traffic stop in the 2000 block of Skokie Valley Road. He was also issued a citation for possession of under 10 grams of cannabis.

Elliot Gary, 39, of the 4200 block of West Haddon Avenue, Chicago, was arrested around 2 a.m. on Nov. 9 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without a valid license. He was also issued citations for improper lane usage, operating an uninsured vehicle and illegal transportation of an open container of alcohol following a traffic stop in the 2700 block of Skokie Valley Road.
