Ravinia Business District Will Get New Signs in Time for Fall Fest

City manager will execute an agreement for work to begin this month.

The city of Highland Park is hoping to give the Ravinia Business District an improved look by the time Fall Fest comes around.

City Manager Ghida Neukirch will execute an agreement with a firm to fabricate and install signs in the district before the July 27 City Council meeting so work could be completed before the festival’s October 2 opening date, according to the Highland Park News. City staff was still in the process of evaluating bids as of their last meeting, held July 13.

The signs will be paid for using the Ravinia TIF fund created a decade ago. Phase I of the sign project is budgeted at $342,000, which includes the cost of decorative street pavement.
