Rep. Scott Drury Endorses Laura Saret For Highland Park City Council

Saret will bring "unique and needed perspective" and has the "judgment and courage" to make the right decisions, Rep. Drury says.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — State Representative Scott Drury (D, IL-58) endorsed Laura Saret Monday for the open two-year term on Highland Park City Council.

"By electing Laura, the Highland Park City Council will become more reflective of Highland Park's population," Drury said in his announcement. "As a retiree, Laura will bring a unique and needed perspective to the City Council."

Noting early voting has already begun, Drury encouraged everyone to go out and vote regardless of whether they agree with his views.

He said Saret would be an independent voice on the council and "will fight for what is best for all of Highland Park, while also having the judgment and courage to make the right decisions on the many issues Highland Park will confront in the coming years."

"Scott is the most honest public servant I know," Saret responded. "I’m flattered that he endorsed me."
