Rotering Considering Congressional Bid: Report
Highland Park Mayor would likely have a primary battle with former Rep. Brad Schneider if she chooses to run.

Highland Park Mayor Nancy Rotering is considering a run for the state of Illinois’ 10th Congressional District seat in 2016, according to a Chicago Sun-Times exclusive via Lynn Sweet.
If Rotering chooses to run, she could have an uphill battle in the Democratic primary, as former Rep. Brad Schneider has informed Sweet he’s “all but decided” to seek the seat he once held before losing to incumbent Republican Bob Dold (who he also lost to in 2010 and beat in 2012) in 2014.
Democratic Rep. Jan Schakowsky said she is encouraging Schnieder to run, but if not, she plans to endorse Rotering.
