Schneider Talks Gun Violence, Mental Health
The 10th District Representative hosted a roundtable in Deerfield to talk about gun violence prevention.

Rep. Brad Schneider (D-Deerfield) held a roundtable discussion on mental health and gun violence prevention on Wednesday at the Deerfield Police Station, the Deerfield Review reports.
The meeting included six community experts, such as social workers and the clinical director of Nicasa Behavioral Health Services, a substance abuse prevention and treatment agency serving Lake County. The conversation touched on the tragic murders at Sandy Hook Elementary School in 2012.
“It’s important we have a conversation about what we do with people learning how to deal with conflict.”
