September Food Drive to Help Moraine Township Food Pantry

Fresh items will be accepted at Highland Park City Hall throughout the month.

Donations are sought for a month-long food drive the city of Highland Park is hosting to assist the Moraine Township Food Pantry in maintaining a secure stock of food.

Residents and businesses are encouraged to bring fresh food items to City Hall, 1707 St. John’s Avenue throughout the month of September, which is Hunger Action Month. Donations will be accepted Monday thru Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The following is a list of desired items.

- Canned fruit

- Apple sauce

- Cereal

- Shelf-stable milk

- Pasta sauce – all kinds

- Cooking oil

- Jellies or jams

- Pinto or black beans

- Coffee

- Pasta

- Canned vegetables

- Crackers – all kinds

- Toiletries
