Sheriff Curran Poses with Trump Attorney General Jeff Sessions

LAKE COUNTY, IL - As everyone from Rachel Maddow to Ted Cruz to former First Ladies from both parties expressed their outrage over the Trump Administration’s cruel decision to separate children from their parents, Sheriff Mark Curran gleefully posed with Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

Lake County Sheriff Mark Curran posed with Sessions during the National Sheriffs’ Association Conference in New Orleans on June 18th.

“It’s disappointing and unacceptable that Mark Curran would proudly pose with Jeff Sessions while children were being snatched away from their parents,” said John Idleburg, Democratic candidate for Lake County Sheriff.

“While we are charged with upholding the rule of law, we in law enforcement must remember to do so with compassion that reflects our values. Jeff Sessions and Mark Curran do not represent our Lake County values. When I’m elected, I will restore Lake County values to the Sheriff’s Office,” Idleburg added.
