Shri Lights It Up Blue for Autism Speaks

Shri Yoga Center is partnering with Autism Speaks to help raise awareness for Autism Spectrum Disorder on April 24th from 5 to 7 pm.

Shri Yoga Center is partnering with Autism Speaks to help raise awareness for Autism Spectrum Disorder through an evening of yoga, fellowship, and charity on Friday, April 24th from 5 to 7 pm.

Shri Lights It Up Blue for Autism Speaks will be a fun, welcoming, and relaxing event and offers yogis a great opportunity to come together and unwind while also giving back. The event will begin with a donation class, which will be taught by Larissa Wozney and Debbie Muraff. Admission to the class is free, but a donation of $20 is suggested.

Larissa Wozney’s teaching style is fun and positive. She believes that a strong connection of breath and movement through Vinyasa guides the spirit and helps yogis find beauty and joy from within. Taking a class with her is always an enjoyable and an uplifting experience, and her instruction is well suited to yogis of all experience levels. Larissa will be assisted by Debbie Muraff. Debbie is a truly inspiring and wonderfully supportive instructor; in her classes, she often focuses on alignment and the micro-movements that can help people enhance their posture.

The money raised at this event will go to Autism Speaks and will help them continue to assist and give a voice to the many families and children impacted by ASD, which is currently estimated to affect 1 in every 68 children. Shri is honored and is thankful to be able to help raise funds and awareness for such an important cause.
