Smiles aplenty at First Responder Luncheon hosted by Freemasons
A.O. Fay, Wauconda, Zurich, and Chicago Masonic Lodges participated in HP First Responder Luncheon
The luncheon hosted by the Freemasons of A.O. Fay, Chicago, Wauconda, and Zurich Lodges provided an opportunity for the members of those Lodges to show their appreciation to the members of the Police, Fire, Public Works, Pace Drivers, and HP City Staffers for their monumental efforts during the recent flooding in our City, and for their daily efforts.
Baked beans, 250# of pork roasted on-site, burgers and brats, potato salad, and a wide variety of potato chips were provided by the Masons; and Il-Forno's Pizza on Old Elm Road donated a bunch of large pizzas with a great variety of toppings.
The weather really cooperated, and it was a glorious day. Everyone in attendance had a smile on their face, and no one went away hungry. Plenty of "to-go" clamshell containers made certain that members of other shifts, or those who had to "mind the store" during the event got plenty of food too.

We were pleased to have been able to give back to those who give us so much.
