Stevenson Students Investigated for Sexting

A student’s tip that some at Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire are sharing sexual photographs of their classmates through their mobile phones has prompted a police investigation, the Lake County News-Sun reported Tuesday.

The student told administrators in recent weeks that students were sexting the lewd photography while on campus, Stevenson spokesman Jim Conrey told the News-Sun.

A Lincolnshire police spokesman said the investigation involves “less than five” juvenile students.

If students are found to be involved, they could potentially face a loss of privileges or suspension, depending on previous behavior and level of involvement, Conrey said.
