HIGHLAND PARK, Illinois (April 2, 2014) – Need help choosing a meal that will please your palate without stretching your waistband? Sunset Foods is here for the assist.
From April 7-14, your neighborhood grocery is hosting free Nutrition Tours with the goal of helping you “Learn How to Shop for Good Health.” A Sunset dietetic intern will accompany shoppers as they walk the aisles and point out foods that pack a punch both in nutrition and taste.
The tour is designed to help participants do three things: identify the most healthful foods in the market; plan meals and snacks to meet nutrition goals; and compare foods to determine the best value.
Thaddeus Tazioli, vice president of marketing at Sunset, said the tours can run the gamut in terms of what they cover.
“Many participants sign up for tours because they are making changes in their diets, and they want to learn about products that fit their needs,” Tazioli said. “They may be trying to reduce sodium, avoid gluten, or discover how to add variety to their diet. Invariably, there’s also always a spouse or parent who is looking for extra support in getting their family to eat healthier. We’re happy to help families too.”
