Thief Makes Off With $700 Bed Spring: Highland Park Crime Blotter

The crime blotter covers incidents in Highland Park from Jan. 12-18.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following is the most recent crime blotter from the Highland Park Police Department.

THEFT

  • Financial - Jan. 14 at 2:48 a.m.
    • An employee at the Mobil gas station located at 2580 Skokie Valley Road told police a man reached over the counter and snatched a company credit card and used u=it somewhere else. The total estimated loss is $350.
  • Retail - Jan. 15 at 2:23 p.m.
    • Police received a report of theft from the Target located at 2099 Skokie Valley Road. An employee told police that a woman took $23 worth of merchandise without paying.
  • Package - Jan. 15 at 5:26 p.m.
    • A resident living in the 2000 block of St. Johns Ave. reported a package theft from their apartment lobby. The total estimated loss is $65.
  • Delivery - Jan 15 at 6:20 p.m.
    • A resident reported to police that a bed spring delivered to their porch was stolen. The total estimated loss is $700.
  • Package - Jan. 15 at 8:50 p.m.
    • A resident told police that sometime between Jan. 10 and Jan. 11a package delivered to them was taken. The total estimated loss is $64.
