'Unruly' Ravinia-goer Pushes Staff, Gains Entry To Box Office, Knocks Down Refreshments: Highland Park Crimes

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following information comes from the Highland Park Police Department as a record of incidents reported to the police and of those arrested by police. Readers are reminded than an arrest is not an indication of guilt, and criminal charges, which are often dropped or reduced, represent merely accusations by the state. It was reported on the afternoon of Aug. 30 that during the previous overnight hours, someone damaged the overhead garage door panels of a business in the first block of Skokie Valley Road using a BB gun.

It was reported on Sept. 3 at 1:31 a.m. that someone damaged a parking space in the Central Train lot in the 1700 block of St. John's Avenue by spraying a section of graffiti measuring a reported 2-feet by 3-feet with black spray paint.

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

SUSPENDED LICENSE

A 35-year-old Waukegan man was arrested Aug. 30 at 2:45 a.m. and charged with driving while licenses suspended after police responded to a request for assistance from a motorist on the Edens Expressway near Clavey Road.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

A 23-year-old Wheeling man was issued administrative citations for disorderly conduct after police said he became unruly at Ravinia around 10:15 p.m. on Sept. 2 following a UB40 concert. He reportedly became unruly, pushed staff members, gained entry to the Ravinia box office and knocked down multiple refreshments.
