'Unwanted' Man Had Warrant; Cops Track Down Hit-And-Run: Blotter
4 DUIs, including a traffic crash, on the Highland Park police blotter for April 3 to April 9.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following information comes from the Highland Park Police Department as a record of incidents reported to the police and of those arrested by police. Readers are reminded than an arrest is not an indication of guilt, and criminal charges, which are often dropped or reduced, represent merely accusations by the state. All persons named are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
INCIDENTS
SHOPLIFTING
A business in the 1500 block of Clavey Road reported shortly after 5 p.m. on April 2 that an unidentified person stole "multiple unknown items and razors" from the store.

THEFT
A resident in the 900 block of Augusta Way reported shortly after 3 p.m. on April 7 that multiple pieces of jewelry had been stolen on April 3.

ARRESTS
Brady Franklin, 33, of the 1800 block of Lemar Avenue in Evanston, was arrested at 11:21 p.m. on April 4 and charged with driving under the influence after police responded to a one-car traffic crash in the 1200 block of Skokie Valley Road. He was also ticketed for improper lane usage.
Christopher Harrison, 22, of the 700 block of Broadview Avenue in Highland Park, was arrested at 12:41 p.m. on a warrant from the Cook County Sheriff's Office for the manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance after police showed up to investigate a report of an unwanted person at a home in the 300 block of Deere Park Drive.
Eloy Camacho, 66, of the 2000 block of North Leamington Avenue in Chicago, was arrested shortly before 9 p.m. on April 6 and charged with driving under the influence after police were called about a "suspicious person" in the 1400 block of Park Avenue West. He was also issued a citation for open transportation of alcohol.
Isaias Membreno, 23, of the 1100 block of Chestnut Street in Waukegan, was arrested at 3:46 a.m. on April 7 and charged with driving under the influence following a traffic stop in the 3300 block of Skokie Valley Road. He was also issued citations for failure to signal a lane change and improper lane usage.
Demitrius Bryan, 26, of the 1600 block of Pitner Avenue in Evanston, was arrested at 4:04 a.m. on April 8 and charged with driving under the influence and driving while license suspended following a traffic stop in the 2800 block of Skokie Valley Road. He was also issued citations for open transportation of alcohol and having expired plates. His passenger, a 24-year-old Beach Park man, was cited for possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Vondel Gray, 32, of the 400 block of North Hunt Club Road in Gurnee, was arrested at noon on April 8 and charged with leaving the scene of an accident and driving with a suspended license following a police investigation into a two-car traffic crash that took place on April 6. Gray was also issued ticketed for improper lane usage.
