Watergate Prosecutor Keynotes Local Democrats' Awards Dinner

WATERGATE PROSECUTOR AND MSNBC CONTRIBUTOR JILL WINE-BANKS KEYNOTES LOCAL DEMOCRATS' ANNUAL AWARDS DINNER

Deerfield, IL - On Sunday, December 17, the Tenth Congressional District Democrats (Tenth Dems) held its Annual Awards Dinner. The standing-room-only crowd at the Hyatt Regency Deerfield celebrated grassroots activism that's helped local Democrats enjoy victories in 2017 and continues to focus unprecedented energy headed into the 2018 election season.

The Keynote Speaker was Jill Wine-Banks, prominent Watergate prosecutor and frequent MSNBC contributor. Wine-Banks also led an effort to improve the military's handling of sexual assault cases.

Prior to taking questions from the enthusiastic audience, Wine-Banks described her career and current events. She spoke about her integral role in questioning the events surrounding Richard Nixon's secret tape recordings. Drawing on her experience in the Watergate prosecution, Wine-Banks also detailed how the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election could proceed.
