Once all voters have cast their ballots, election judges will immediately begin to transmit precincts’ tallies from the county’s 122 Election Day voting sites to the clerk’s office using each ballot tabulators’ internal cellular modem.
The first numbers uploaded to the website are the Election Day ballot totals. Results for early voting, grace period registration, and mailed ballots are added after all Election Day precincts have reported. Per statute, mailed and early voted ballots can only be tabulated in the clerk’s office by election judges on election night after 7 p.m. Results for the valid write-in candidates will be posted on the clerk’s website within seven days after the election.
