Window Broken At First Street Business: Cops

A Northfield woman is accused of shoplifting.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED

Sharika Hampton, 28, Chicago was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended, improper lane usage and failure to wear seatbelt after being stopped by police in the 0-50 block of the Edens Expressway at 12:46 a.m. on July 14.

RETAIL THEFT

Dawn Zigmond, 45, Northfield was arrested and charged with retail theft after police responded to a report of a shoplifter at a business in the 2000 block of Skokie Valley Road at 6:57 p.m. on July 15.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE & CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL BY MINOR

Alexis Vargas, 19, Blue Island was arrested and charged with criminal damage after police responded to a report of an unwanted subject at a business in the 800 block of Edgewood Road. Vargas was also cited administratively for consumption of alcohol by a minor.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

Miscellaneous items were taken from a home under construction. Several building materials were taken. No forced entry was noticed. The items were discovered missing on July 4.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

A front showroom window of a business located in the 2000 block of First Street was broken sometime before 3:33 p.m. on July 19. No objects were located near the window indicating a cause of the break.
