Woman Pushed into Bushes on Central Avenue: Cops

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Justin Greenberg, 47, of the 200 block of Park Avenue was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after police responded to a report of a dispute in the 2000 block of Linden Avenue at 7:23 p.m. on August 17.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE REVOKED FOR DUI

Fernando Arellanes, 32, of the 800 block of Deerfield Road was arrested and charged with driving while license revoked for DUI, improper lane usage, open transportation of alcohol after being stopped by police in the 3300 block of Skokie Valley Road at 1:02 a.m. on August 22.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED

Ilovani Gomez, 25, Waukegan was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended and uninsured motor vehicle after being stopped by police near Green Bay Road and Highland Place at 3:22 p.m. on August 22.

VIOLATION OF BAIL BOND & DOMESTIC BATTERY

Josafat Garcia, 37, Highwood was arrested and charged with violation of bail bond and domestic battery after police responded to a complaint that a woman was pushed into the bushes in the 800 block of Central Avenue around 9:55 a.m. on August 23.

BURGLARY FROM MOTOR VEHICLE

A Hyundai was entered sometime over the weekend while parked in the 500 block of Vine Avenue. No forced entry was noted. A Tissot watch and a wallet containing a driver’s license and credit cards were taken.

THEFT

A gold and platinum band ring went missing on August 17 sometime between 5-7 p.m. after workmen were at a residence in the 700 block of Highland Place.

THEFT

A plug from an air conditioner disconnect box was reported taken sometime in the last month from a residence in the 500 block of Sumac Road.

THEFT

Two mail packages were taken from a hallway in the 400 block of Central Avenue around 4 p.m. on August 20. The packages contained DVDs purchased from Amazon.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

Sometime between August 17 at 5 p.m. and August 21, unknown person(s) wrote in water soluble type paint on the solar system sculpture at the top of the bluff, on the wood railing of the steps to the beach and drew a fish like shape on the retaining wall at the bottom of the steps near the end of Walker Avenue.

THEFT

A platinum ring with 34 karat diamond and sapphire stones was taken from a residence located in the 600 block of Old Elm Road sometime between August 15 and August 22.
