YMCA Invites Community to Celebrate Summer at Annual "Party at the Y" Cookout
Public is invited to free cookout and family party at North Suburban YMCA in Northbrook.

The North Suburban YMCA continues a popular community tradition when it hosts the third annual “Party at the Y” on August 13. The party is the culmination of summer fun for camp families, Y members, and the general public. Beginning at 6:00pm, guests will enjoy a cookout picnic, inflatable bounce houses, live music, and more in a relaxed social atmosphere. Party at the Y will be held on the lawn adjacent to the facility’s ADA-accessible playground, located at 2705 Techny Road in Northbrook. The event is free of charge and open to the public.
During the party, parents will have the opportunity to learn about upcoming programs for all ages during the fall. Special promotional rates on Y membership will help families take advantage of all the benefits of participating in Y fall programs. Kids will also have the chance to meet firefighters from the Northbrook Fire Department and climb aboard fire trucks.
“Our summer cookout has quickly become one of our most well-attended community events,” notes Howard Schultz, NSYMCA President and CEO. “Families come to visit with friends, chat with our staff, and enjoy fun activities with their kids. This is just one of the many events the Y sponsors to strengthen family bonds. It’s a great way to transition to the fall and continue the relationships developed over the summer.”
