• Freida Malloy (riverbender.com) — Longtime area resident Freida Malloy, who married her husband Carl in Hillsboro in 1974, has passed away, leaving a large family across central Illinois and beyond. Services are set for Saturday, May 16, in Gillespie, with burial at Olive Hill Cemetery in Coffeen and memorials suggested to local libraries or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
