2015 AMI SOLO COMPETITIONS
American Music Institute announces its annual Violin and Piano Competitions, to be held in the winter/spring of 2015.
AMI announces its annual Violin and Piano Competitions, to be held in the winter/spring of 2015 at its Clarendon Hills campus. The AMI Violin Competition will be held on February 22 and the AMI Piano Competition will be held on March 22. The winners of both competitions will be honoured at the AMI Competition Winners Concert on April 12.
Both competitions are open to students age 5 – 18 years old. Required repertoire is one piece/movement, level appropriate of up to ten minutes in duration. Deadlines are on February 21 for violinists and March 21 for pianists. The prizes are as follows: 1st prize: $400, 2nd prize: $125, and 3rd prize: $75.
