Her GOP opponent is a former state senator and now a township supervisor.

Hilton, a former Western Springs trustee, was elected to the Senate in 2018.
Reboletti, an Elmhurst resident, is the Addison Township supervisor, an elected position.
He was the District 23 senator from 2007 to 2015. He served as assistant majority leader in his final two years.
Half of District 23 is House District 45. On Tuesday night, unofficial results showed state Rep. Deanne Mazzochi, R-Elmhurst, holding onto a small lead over Democrat Jenn Ladisch Douglass.
Hilton has been a relatively low-profile senator. In recent months, Mazzochi has denounced Elmhurst School District 205 over its curriculum, calling for the superintendent to "clean house."
In July, Patch contacted Hilton's office about the controversy. A representative said Hilton would not weigh in. Over the years, she has collected more than $100,000 in union donations.
