3 Felony Arrests In Hinsdale: Cops
A DUI suspect refuses to comply with a warrant for a blood draw, police said.

HINSDALE, IL – In the last few days, Hinsdale police handled cases involving obstruction of justice, retail theft, possession of a stolen vehicle, a counterfeit bill, identity theft, a DUI and a warrant. Here is information from the latest Hinsdale police reports:
Felony obstructing justice
- Quinton M. Watts, 33, of Aurora, was arrested about 11:30 p.m. Saturday in the 600 block of West Ogden Avenue on charges of felony obstructing justice, DUI, unlawful possession of marijuana by a driver, improper lane use, transportation of open alcohol by a driver and prohibited deposits on the right-of-way. Police said he had a plastic baggie containing a substance that tested positive for marijuana and an open container of alcohol. He refused testing to determine his blood-alcohol content. He also refused to comply with a search warrant for a blood draw. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Felony retail theft

- Melissa J. Krok, 40, of Palos Hills, was arrested about 1:30 p.m. Thursday on charges of felony retail theft and resisting or obstructing a police officer. Police said Krok stole merchandise valued at more than $300 at Yankee Peddler, 30 E. Hinsdale Ave. She was accused of pulling away from an officer to avoid being handcuffed. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Possession of stolen vehicle
- Julian L. Matino, 28, of Glen Ellyn, was arrested shortly after midnight Sunday at the BP gas station, 149 E. Ogden Ave., on a felony charge of being in possession of a stolen vehicle. The car was reported stolen in St. Louis. Matino was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Counterfeit bill

- A person completed a transaction using a counterfeit $100 bill about 3:30 p.m. March 9 at Shell gas station, 210 E. Ogden Ave. The incident was reported three days later. Police said the suspect is known.
Identity theft
- A resident in the 5600 block of South County Line Road told police March 14 that someone intercepted the resident's credit card mailed by the bank and made fraudulent charges.
DUI
- Police responded to a crash involving property damage about 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the 400 block of West Ogden Avenue. The driver was suspected to be under the influence of alcohol, but refused to submit to testing for blood-alcohol content. A search warrant was obtained for a blood draw. The suspect complied. Charges are pending the results of lab testing.
Warrant
- Madison J. Hamilton-Dryden, 38, of Batavia, was arrested about 4:30 p.m. Monday at Ogden Avenue and Vine Street on a DuPage County warrant and a charge of driving with a suspended license. Hamilton-Dryden posted a bond and was released.
