450 Supporters Attend Hinsdale's Annual Pet Walk, Run
This year, 450 attendees supported HHS by walking, running or attending the event.
HINSDALE, IL June 8, 2018 – Hinsdale Humane Society’s Pet Walk and Run fundraiser was held Sunday, June 3 at Katherine Legge Memorial Park in Hinsdale. The society said the event is designed to be a fundraiser to help support the shelter’s operations. Early totals for the day came in at over $40,000, generated from registration fees, sponsors, split the pot raffle and donations from attendees.
This year, 450 attendees supported HHS by walking, running or attending the event that included a mall filled with local vendors, a Kids Dash, giant bubbles, frisbee dogs, a slime table, face painting and awards to overall winners and first place winners for each age group.

“We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day,” Tom Van Winkle, Executive Director, said in a release. “It’s so great to see how this community comes together to support our mission and help us spread the word about Adopt Don’t Shop.”
