5-Story Complex Planned In Clarendon Hills
It would likely feature a restaurant and tavern on the first floor, the village said.

CLARENDON HILLS, IL – Clarendon Hills has received a proposal to develop wooded land that contains a house next to downtown.
In a memo released Thursday, the village did not identify the developer. But it said the company is looking to develop 104 Walker Ave.
The developer is planning a "significant" five-story, mixed-use development, said Ed Cage, the village's community development director, in the memo.

The developer is working with the owner of a "desirable" tavern and restaurant, which may take up the first floor of the proposed development, Cage said.
The land is in the downtown tax increment financing district, or TIF, meaning the developer may be eligible for a village subsidy.

On Monday, the Village Board plans to discuss whether a five-story building with an outdoor seating area is appropriate at the site in question.
The plan would include village property and the removal of the house, which is vacant, Cage said.
Patch on Friday filed a public records request with the village for documents related to the developer's plans. In response, the village said it has nothing in writing yet.
