50 Years of Hinsdale's Christmas Walk

JOIN IN ON THE FUN- HINSDALE FOR THE HOLIDAYS (Hinsdale )- The Hinsdale Chamber of Commerce is proud to host the 50th annual Christmas Walk presented on Friday, December 4th from 4 pm – 8pm in downtown Hinsdale. This year's holiday event is brought to you in part by BMO Harris Bank, The Hinsdalean Newspaper, Elmhurst Hospital, and District 181. This year, Hollywood actor DB Sweeney (known for starring in such great movies as Eight Men Out, The Cutting Edge, and Memphis Belle, along with his new role in the recently released Chi-Raq ),Village President Tom Cauley and the Big Man himself, Santa will ceremoniously light the Christmas Tree near Village Hall at 5 pm, this Friday night. Also on site will be local recording artist, Isaiah Graff singing his hit single, " Christmas With You." That evening, local shopkeepers will also remain open to greet customers and guests, to celebrate the holiday season. The festivities include the holiday carolers, high school musicians, a children’s trackless train, decorated holiday trees, giveaways, animated holiday characters, Santa’s arrival by fire truck, sponsored business tables, and chestnuts roasting on an Open Fire. In addition the Hinsdale Chamber of Commerce will once again present “Hinsdale’s Storybook Village – A Gingerbread’s Tale”. Over 30 jumbo framed stories will be on display in local participating businesses from December 4th - December 31st throughout the community.
