• Hinsdale Leader Accuses Local Conservative Of Politicizing 9/11 (patch.com) — Hinsdale's village president Greg Hart is pushing back after local conservative activist Kristina McCloy used the town's Sept. 11 commemoration and his outreach to Muslim residents to launch partisan attacks. Hart, a Republican himself, says her comments misrepresented congressional boundaries, unfairly targeted Muslims who call Hinsdale home, and undermined the unity the community sought to honor during the 25th anniversary event.
• Hinsdale's Assistance League of Chicagoland West marks 30 years of helping (chicagotribune.com) — A long-running Hinsdale-based chapter of Assistance League of Chicagoland West is celebrating three decades of helping local families with clothing, books, and housing essentials across DuPage and western Cook counties. The group is gearing up for its Nov. 10 Books & Brunch fundraiser and is actively seeking new Hinsdale-area members, donors, and business partners to expand programs like winter coat drives, early reading support, and college scholarships.
