
On November 14, ChildServ honored Jim Lill, Chief Executive Officer of Mid American Group, Inc. in Westmont, for his service to at-risk children in Chicagoland at the organization’s annual Founder’s Day Dinner, an event that celebrates those whose community service reflects the spirit of Lucy Rider Meyer, ChildServ’s founder. ChildServ President and CEO presented Lill with the Lucy Rider Meyer Humanitarian Award, along with Peter Hanes of Libertyville and David Lambert of Palatine.
In addition to being a generous supporter of ChildServ, Lill is active in many organizations. He has served on the Butler University Board of Trustees from 2009 to the present and OVID Butler Society and he is the Chairman of the Advisory Board of Davey Risk Management and Insurance Program at Butler University. Lill is also involved in Association House, Gilda’s House, Lawrence Hall School for Boys, Children’s Home + Aid, Pioneer Center of Crystal Lake, Ernest Hemingway Foundation of Oak Park, Illinois, Helping Hand Center of Hodgkins, Trustee of Cathedral High School of Indianapolis, Indiana and the Presidents Board of Saint Xavier University. A long-time Rotarian, Lill is past President of the Hinsdale Rotary Club and the District Governor of Rotary 1 in Chicago.
Lill is a member of the Economic Club of Chicago; the Executives' Club of Chicago where he serves on the Finance Committee; the Union League Club of Chicago; and the National Association of Health Underwriters. In addition to his volunteer involvement, Lill was the Captain of the Butler University Football team in 1969 and Rotarian of the Year in 1991. He was listed as one of America’s Most Productive Brokers in 2002, 2006 and 2007, and Nationally Best Retail Agent/Broker in 2008 and 2010, both in Crain’s Business Insurance.

Lill resides in Hinsdale with his wife, Mary Marttila Lill of MJM and Company. They have three children, Christopher, Andrew and James.
