On Wednesday, April 27th, a parking pay-box will be installed at the West Highland Train Station commuter parking lot. Parking pay-boxes are currently being utilized at two other commuter parking lots (Chestnut Street Lot and Hillgrove Commuter Lot) as well as for shoppers in the Washington Street Shopper’s Parking Lot.
The parking pay boxes, provided by Total Parking Solutions (Downers Grove, Illinois), provide commuters the ability to pay for parking using cash, a debit or credit card, as well as using ParkMobile, which is an online application for making payments through the use of the internet or a smartphone.
Effective on April 27th, existing permit holders will continue to use the commuter parking lot while displaying the appropriate commuter parking permit. The parking lot will be open to the community for non-permitted users during the controlled hours for this lot, which are will be 6am-6pm Monday-Friday. The pay boxes allow for commuters to pay for up to twelve (12) hours of parking at the rate of $0.25 per hour.

Parking pay boxes continue to be added within the Village as they provide for a more efficient means of managing the limited parking supply, while continuing to provide more parking accessibility for everybody, including current permit holders and others needing to park at commuter parking areas for one day, or more frequent weekly and monthly use.
