Anixter Center's 5th Annual Benefit for Ability

WHAT: Anixter Center proudly presents its 5th annual Benefit for Ability: Advocating for All Abilities. The gala event will feature dinner, dancing, networking, raffle, paddle raise, and entertainment. All proceeds from the fundraiser will support Anixter Center’s mission of helping children, teens and adults with disabilities and related challenges live, learn, work and play in the community.

WHY: This year’s event will honor Chicagoan and Illinois Supreme Court Justice Anne M. Burke. Justice Burke has been a lifelong advocate for those with disabilities, acting as a compelling champion for those who often don’t have a voice.

ABOUT: Anixter Center is one of the largest 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations in the Chicago area serving children, teens, young adults and older adults with disabilities and related challenges. Each year, Anixter Center and its three divisions—CALOR, Chicago Hearing Society (CHS) and Lekotek—serve more than 8,000 people, from birth to age 90+. They provide residential, educational, socialization, health and employment services such as helping a child with Down syndrome learn through play, or providing a home for a senior with multiple disabilities or offering job coaching and employment services so an adult who is deaf can find work.
