Aquatic Experience Chicago brings live shark encounter to Schaumburg

The Aquatic Experience Chicago brings “everything aquatic under one roof” to the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center for three days -- November 7 through 9. Families will be able to explore tropical fish tanks, learn what goes on behind the scenes at aquariums and experience the only travelling shark show in the US.

The Florida Tropical Fish Farmers Association created a display of more than 130 tropical fish tanks. Families wandering the display will find salt water and freshwater fish farmed in the US. It’s a great way for aspiring and experienced fish aquarists to ask the experts about all of the different fish available.

Newport Aquarium Zoological Operations Manager Jeff Gibula will join with Chicago’s Shedd Aquarium experts to look behind the scenes at public aquariums and their relationship with fish fans. This light-hearted presentation will entertain and educate people of all ages.

Aquatic Experience Chicago is sponsored by the World Pet Association, the oldest industry organization “promoting responsible growth and development of the companion pet and related products and services.” The World Pet Association hosts several companion pet  events across the country throughout the year.
