ASSISTANCE LEAGUE HOSTS BOOKS & BRUNCH ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 10, 2015
Author Luncheon and Fundraiser for All-Volunteer Organization

Assistance League of Chicagoland West will hold its annual Books & Brunch event on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at The Abbington in Glen Ellyn. Books & Brunch features three local authors, lunch, boutique shopping, silent auction, and raffle. This year’s authors include: “Breakfast Queen” Ina Pinkney, Stick Dog stories author Tom Watson, and novelist Jen Lancaster. NBC 5 News’ Dick Johnson will once again be the emcee.
Co-chairs are Becky Moats of Hinsdale and Laurie Cleary of Burr Ridge, along with VP Event Fundraising Maureen Hegarty of Hinsdale.
In 2014, Books & Brunch hosted a sellout crowd of 460 guests and raised $155,000 for its philanthropies.

Assistance League of Chicagoland West, based in Hinsdale, was formed in 1996 and is part of a 85 year old national organization with 120 chapters. Last year, Assistance League members volunteered more than 8,000 hours and touched the lives of nearly 3,000 people across the western suburbs of Chicago.
