BB Gun Damage, Yard Theft: Hinsdale Cops
Damage to cars in a parking lot was believed to have been caused by a BB gun, police said.

HINSDALE, IL — Hinsdale police released their latest blotter Wednesday. Here is information from the latest reports:
BB gun damage
- A rear driver's side window was shattered between 9 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. March 2 in the Colonial Gardens Apartments parking lot, 5508 S. Madison St. Damage was seen on two other parked cars in the same area. The damage appears to have been caused by a BB gun.
Yard theft

- A grill valued at $469 was stolen from a back yard between Saturday and Monday in the 800 block of South Monroe Street.
Identity theft
- A resident in the 900 block of Cleveland Road told police March 1 that someone attempted to use the resident's information to open a credit card account. It happened Feb. 10.

- Willie Lake Bernard, 41, of Chicago, was arrested shortly after midnight March 2 in the 300 block of East Ogden Avenue on charges of felony possession or use of a weapon (his second offense), DUI, possession of marijuana by a driver and speeding. According to a police report, a loaded handgun was found inside his car. Bernard refused testing to determine his blood-alcohol content. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
- Roberto Hernandez, 59, of Lyons, was arrested shortly before 3 a.m. March 2 at York Road and Ogden Avenue on charges of DUI, improper stopping and driving while using his phone. According to a police report, Hernandez was stopped at a traffic light while talking on his phone. He refused testing to determine his blood-alcohol content. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
- Ramon Andrade, 21, of Chicago, was arrested about 4 a.m. Sunday at Ogden Avenue and Route 83 on charges of DUI, failure to signal when required and improper lane use. He submitted to testing that indicated he was over the legal limit. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
