Usually I do blogs on fashion but I also love to talk about beauty products. Besides subscribing to Birchbox for unique beauty finds, I am always checking to see what’s new in the beauty world online. Since Christmas is around the corner, I have been watching for the newest makeup palettes. During my search I came across the Benefit advent calendar. My sons always get their Star Wars Lego advent calendar every year and it’s one of their favorites things to wake up to every morning during December. So why should they get all the fun? I have tried some of Benefit’s products and loved them so I thought this would be a great way to try all their best-selling items.
I ended up getting my advent calendar online at Sephora. It was not in stores yet. (I checked. Can you tell I am excited about this?) I didn’t want to wait and discover that it had been sold out. I received it at my doorstep yesterday and it came in a huge box. So getting that free shipping with this item is key. When I opened the shipping box, I discovered a very large Pop Art box. It’s a work of art by itself!

Now I am not going to spoil the surprise and say what fun things are in the box, but I can tell you that there are 24 beauty treasures in it, including a charm necklace, charm bracelet, and barrette. Who doesn’t love accessories? All of Benefit’s best selling products are in this calendar, including Benefit’s hoola, benetint, CORALista, and high beam. One product that I love especially from Benefit is there sugarbomb lip gloss. It’s a non-sticky pinky nude gloss that is perfect for day. This product is hidden in there too.
This is wonderful gift for someone who loves playing with makeup. Every Christmas all of my cousins and aunts get together and have a girl’s grab bag. I can guarantee you that everyone would be stealing this makeup set for sure. The calendar goes for $68 and is available at many stores like Sephora, Macy’s, Ulta, and Bloomingdales. I realize that this price seems a little steep but if you break it down, each piece costs less than $3.

So now starts my countdown (37 days to be exact) until I can start opening the boxes on this unique calendar. I feel like a kid again!
