A Luscious Key Lime Martini Recipe

I have a passion for Key Lime anything. When my bartender Judy made this martini for me to try, the flavor and texture were fantastic!

I don't know about you but I have a passion for Key Lime anything. When my bartender Judy made this martini for me to try, the flavor and texture were fantastic! Since then I have been on this quest to find someone who could make it as good. To be honest, I haven't found anyone yet. Just in case you didn't know, Florida is known for key limes. They are sort of the Flamingos of Florida, especially in Key West.

A little bit of history on the Key lime tree, which was native to Malaysia. It probably first arrived in the Florida Keys in the 1500s with the Spanish. Key limes sort of look like a confused lemon, because they are smaller than a golf ball and have yellow-green spots. When a hurricane wiped out the key lime plantations in Florida they were replaced with Persian limes. These limes are easier to pick and transport then key limes. Today only a few key lime trees are left here and there.

Ok I will give you the recipe that you have long waited for, and I do challenge anyone who thinks they have a better recipe to send it to me.
