Stolen Vehicle Recovered In Chicago: Hinsdale Police

A 2014 Dodge Durango was stolen in the overnight hours of July 17-18.

HINSDALE, IL — Update: The 2014 Dodge Durango has been recovered in Chicago, Chief of Police Kevin Simpson said. The car was recovered by Chicago Police Department at 3 p.m. July 18 near 73rd and Cottage Grove.

Original Story: A car was stolen from a driveway in the overnight hours of July 17-18. According to police reports, a 2014 Dodge Durango was stolen in the 300 block of North Lincoln Street sometime between 6 p.m. July 17 and 3:33 a.m. July 18.

According to the reports, the victim said the keys were left inside the vehicle.

The Chicago suburbs have seen an increase in car thefts and burglaries in recent months. Several area police departments have advised residents to be sure to lock their cars and report suspicious activity.

Patch has reached out to Hinsdale Police Department for a comment or update on this incident, but has not yet received a response.
