Car Theft, Drug Possession: Hinsdale Cops
A car was stolen from a garage in a Hinsdale neighborhood, police said.

HINSDALE, IL – In the last few days, Hinsdale handled cases involving car theft, drug possession, car burglary, a warrant and fence damage. Here is information from the latest Hinsdale police reports:
Car theft
- A car was stolen about 2 a.m. Sunday from a garage in the 5800 block of South Washington Street. Police did not say whether the keys were inside the car. The case is pending.

- Tim Griffin, 52, of Westmont, was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Monday at Route 83 and 55th Street on charges of felony possession of a controlled substance, DUI (drugs), possession of drug paraphernalia, and stopping in the roadway. Police said they saw Griffin asleep at the wheel while stopped in the street. He refused testing, so a search warrant was obtained for samples. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Car burglary
- A car was burglarized between 7 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday in a driveway in the 100 block of Glendale Avenue. The interior was rummaged through, but nothing was reported missing.

- Unique S. Ingram, 21, of Madison, Wisconsin, was arrested shortly before midnight July 13 at Ogden Avenue and County Line Road on a Kane County warrant and charges of driving with a suspended license and improperly displaying registration. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
Fence damage
- A wooden fence was damaged July 9 at Hinsdale Racquet Club, 5730 S. Grant St. The damage was estimated at $150. The report was filed July 14.
Identity theft
- A resident in the 200 block of South Adams Street told police Saturday that someone used the resident's identity to open a credit card account.
