Chestnut Street Home Broken Into, Fur Coat Stolen
Other thefts reported to Hinsdale Police include $1,300 worth of items from a parked car on Ogden Avenue and a mountain bike outside Oak School.

A fur coat is missing from a home on the 800 block of West Chestnut Street after an unknown suspect allegedly broke into the home through a window some time between 1:00 p.m. April 15 and 11:00 a.m. April 19, according to the Hinsdale Police Department.
A female victim reported to police that someone had gained entry and rummaged through the house. Police said a shattered dining room window was found, suggesting forced entry.
No other items were reported stolen to the police and the value of the fur coat has not been provided.

A similar break-in took place In the 100 block of North Adams Street between 6:30 p.m. on April 16 and 9:29 a.m. on April 19. A female victim reported to police that an unknown suspect there gained entry to her home through a dining room or living room window.
According to police, nothing has so far been determined missing in the second home.

Car Break-In—A laptop, iPod and briefcase were stolen from an unoccupied parked car sitting outside 120 E. Ogden Ave. between 1:45 p.m. and 2:41 p.m. on April 19, according to police reports.
The back-seat driver’s side window of the male complainant’s Acura TL was reportedly broken. Inside was a Sony Vaio Z12 laptop computer, a 160 GB iPod, and an aluminum Haliburton briefcase.
According to police, the male complainant estimated the value of the missing items to be $1,300.
Bicycle Theft—A yellow Magna mountain bike was stolen from the bike rack at Oak School, 920 S. Oak, between 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on April 20.
According to the police report, the bike was unlocked and unattended when it was taken and is worth $100.
