Clancy & Associates, Ltd. to Host Informed Parent Series Event
Katie Clancy to Discuss Legal & Financial Planning for Children With Special Needs
Clancy & Associates, Ltd. will host a “Legal and Financial Planning for Children with Special Needs” event with Katie Clancy, Attorney at Law. The presentation is also sponsored by the Informed Parent Series, a not-for-profit providing education to parents of children with special needs.
The event aims to help answer parents’ questions about legal planning and trusts, and how to ensure a child’s eligibility for governmental benefits, programs and services. Additionally, the program will address financial planning your child to supplement governmental benefits and provide the highest quality of life possible.
Katie Clancy founded the Informed Parent Series to help parents of children with special needs acquire the in-depth knowledge surrounding education and care to better advocate for their children.

“I am the parent of a child with special needs, and am fortunate to also be a lawyer who understands the ins and outs of trusts and financial planning,” said Clancy. “Over the years, working with many families, I realized that helping parents access experts in the special needs community would help them learn more about their child’s disability. The more parents learn, the more they can do to help their child both at home and school. This knowledge is life-changing for both parent and child.”
Katie Clancy said. “That’s why I started this series – having been through this myself, gathering reliable and sound information quickly helped me the most. My husband and I decided to help other parents by organizing informative educational talks, which soon became formalized as the “Informed Parent Series.”
