Clarendon Hills Pool's Fate Unclear
The park district would give it to a local club if voters turned down a tax hike. What would the club do with it?
CLARENDON HILLS, IL – The Clarendon Hills Park District says it would close Lions Park Pool and transfer it to the Clarendon Hills Lions Club if voters reject a property tax hike in March.
Patch asked the Lions Club whether it would reopen the pool.
In an emailed response Thursday, Bill Hamel, the club's secretary, said the group was unable to comment now on the tax increase referendum.

He said it would be a topic of discussion at the club's board meeting Tuesday.
In 1992, the club opened the pool. Eleven years later, the group decided it could no longer run the pool, so the park district started managing it.
